About Position and details
Role: Acquisition Lead Program Manager
Location: UK
Mode: Remote with occasional requirement for in-person meetings weekly
Job Type: Permanent role
Position Summary
The Acquisition Lead Program Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of mergers and acquisitions integrations across technology, enterprise systems, business processes, and operational functions. This role serves as the primary integration lead responsible for bringing together stakeholders from business, technology, security, infrastructure, and acquired companies to ensure successful onboarding into the Grant Thornton operating environment. The ideal candidate is a strong program and project manager with proven M&A experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build relationships and influence teams across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
- Lead multiple acquisition integrations simultaneously from pre-integration through post-close onboarding.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, RAID logs, dependency tracking, and executive reporting.
- Coordinate activities across technology, business, security, infrastructure, and operational workstreams.
- Drive accountability across stakeholders, platform owners, vendors, and delivery teams.
- Identify risks, issues, resource constraints, and decision points early and drive resolution.
- Support capacity planning and integration forecasting across the M&A portfolio.
M&A Integration Leadership
- Support due diligence reviews and technology assessments.
- Lead pre-integration readiness activities.
- Coordinate security assessment, remediation, and MTO readiness activities.
- Manage onboarding into enterprise systems including Oracle HCM, CRM, ServiceNow, Identity & Access Management, Dayshape, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise platforms.
- Ensure alignment to enterprise architecture, security, and operational standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for integration activities.
- Build strong relationships with acquired company leadership, executives, business leaders, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
- Facilitate steering committees, working sessions, leadership reviews, and executive updates.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Global Coordination
- Work effectively across multiple time zones and regions.
- Coordinate activities involving domestic and international acquisitions.
- Manage cross-functional teams operating across different locations and schedules.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of program and project management experience.
- Experience leading acquisitions, mergers, integrations, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments and business process integration.
- Experience coordinating efforts across applications, security, infrastructure, identity, data, and operational teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience developing and maintaining integrated project plans and executive reporting.
- M&A integration experience across technology and business functions.

Preferred Experience
- M&A integration experience across technology and business functions.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle HCM, CRM, ServiceNow, ERP, Identity Management, Microsoft 365, and resource management platforms.
- Experience with technology due diligence, security assessments, remediation planning, and Day 1 readiness activities.
- Experience working with global teams and international acquisitions.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related certification preferred.

The successful candidate will be a highly organized leader who can navigate ambiguity, build strong relationships, drive accountability, and successfully deliver complex integrations across multiple workstreams and geographies while maintaining a strong focus on execution, communication, and business outcomes.
