Ready to become the technical accounting lead behind a major acquisition programme?

We're partnering with a leading UK financial services organisation that is continuing to grow through acquisition.

This is a rare opportunity for a qualified professional (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) to take ownership of the accounting and financial reporting aspects of M&A transactions, acting as the subject matter expert for acquisition accounting, Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), valuations and IFRS reporting across the portfolio.

Working closely with senior Finance and Strategic Investments leaders, you'll play a pivotal role in evaluating, executing and integrating acquisitions while ensuring robust accounting treatment and financial reporting throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Why this role stands out

  • Become the internal expert for acquisition accounting and PPA
  • Lead complex IFRS 3 accounting projects across multiple acquisitions
  • Work directly with senior finance leadership and strategic investment teams
  • Significant exposure to valuations, intangible assets and goodwill accounting
  • High visibility role with genuine progression opportunities

The Role

This is a highly visible role operating at the intersection of M&A, technical accounting and financial reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
