Job Description: Activation Marketer (m/f/x)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Activation Marketer for the Export team, you will play an important role in supporting the execution of marketing programs and sales enablement activities across international export markets. This role is central to the day-to-day coordination that helps marketing plans turn into effective action. You will help manage portfolio availability, support program execution, respond to inbound channel enquiries, and ensure 3M Authorized Representatives have the tools, information, and coordination they need to engage customers successfully.
This is a highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships, and keeping multiple activities moving at once. You will be part of a small but high-impact team, working with a broad range of stakeholders across divisions, business groups, channel partners, and countries. Success in this position requires strong communication, execution discipline, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. It will suit someone who is organized, responsive, willing to get involved in the detail, and confident coordinating follow-up across a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Support activities aligned to the Export Markets marketing plan, working as part of a team to execute promotions and programs through channel and converter partners across a diverse set of markets.
- Provide local analytics and insights to the Marketing Leader to support ongoing promotion optimization, program refinement, and account targeting.
- Support both 3M Representatives and DSRs (Distributor Specialist Representatives) by distributing enablement materials, launch assets, and toolkits that strengthen sales readiness and customer engagement.
- Contribute to the smooth delivery of channel training programs, including liaising with speakers, managing invitations and access, coordinating training calendars, and organizing follow-up activities.
- Serve as the first point of contact for marketing-related customer mailbox enquiries, ensuring timely, professional, and helpful responses.
- Manage Export portfolio availability, including handling product enquiries, extensions, restrictions, and listings in close collaboration with operations teams.
- Update and maintain Export Markets online presence with the latest channel partner and converter information.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
