Harrier House Care Home
Harrier House Care Home is a modern residential, dementia, respite and day care home in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Home to six beautifully designed care suites and outstanding lifestyle facilities, we provide a supportive environment where residents can enjoy meaningful experiences every day.
Activities Coordinator Contract
- £12.85 per hour
- Contracted to 16.5 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension and uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

Role Overview
As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing residents' wellbeing by delivering engaging, meaningful and person-centred activities that promote independence, choice and social interaction.
You will plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities and life experiences. Working closely with residents, families and colleagues, you will encourage participation, support hobbies, organise seasonal events, outings and community activities, helping residents remain active, connected and engaged.

You will ensure activities are delivered safely by following Health & Safety, infection prevention and risk assessment procedures, while maintaining accurate activity records and adapting programmes to meet residents' changing needs. Through creativity, compassion and teamwork, you will help create a welcoming environment where every resident feels valued and included.
The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
What We Are Looking For
- A creative, enthusiastic and organised individual with a passion for enriching the lives of older people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Understanding of person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, infection prevention and safe activity delivery.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and adapt activities to residents' changing needs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in activities, care, hospitality, events, childcare or a similar role is desirable; however, candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
