Activities Coordinator - 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday - Bosworth Care Home, Weymouth

Pay: £12.85 per hour
Location: Bosworth Care Home, Southdown Avenue, Weymouth, DT3 6HR

Bosworth Care Home has been part of the Weymouth community since 1988. Now under new management and benefiting from significant investment, the home has never looked better. We’re proud to offer a warm, homely environment where residents feel safe, valued, and truly at home, supported by a caring team who genuinely enjoy what they do.

A day in the life of an Activities Coordinator

  • Companionship - providing support, companionship, communication, and engagement with residents
  • Creating activities - you will be in charge of designing an engaging activities plan both internally and with external resources.
  • Event planning – our Activities Coordinators are involved with planning events such as summer BBQs or Christmas parties for our residents.
  • Resident interaction – you will always be in conversation with residents to see which activities they want to do and bringing them to fruition.
  • External communications – as an Activities Coordinator you will be speaking with external entertainers or businesses to organise visits from entertainers or arranging for visits to businesses for the residents.
  • Mobility - supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility through activities such as Zumba or ballroom or even things like balloon tennis.
  • Social activities - trips out, social engagements, and activities within the home for all abilities.
  • Team support - helping new or existing colleagues through shadowing and teamwork, and supporting the smooth running of the home when required

What We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK, please note: Under new guidance we are unable to accept skilled or student visas
  • Caring, positive, and reliable individuals
  • Previous care home/activities experience required
