Your Role

EF (Education First) London International Language Campus is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and organised individual to join our Activities & Events Team as Activities & Events Coordinator.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the designing, planning, and delivering of a diverse range of activities, events, and excursions that create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for our international students outside of class.

Position Details:

  • Full-time/Fixed Term
  • 5 days a week in office; Monday - Friday (08:30 - 17:30)
  • Salary to be discussed at interview
  • Campus based minutes away from Waterloo station

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Activities & Events Manager with the organisation, administration, and delivery of activities, events, and excursions program appropriate to students’ needs (across the following key student demographics: aged 16-17, aged 18+, and aged 50+)
  • Help manage weekly bookings of events and excursions through external suppliers, maintaining financial consciousness and high-level organisation
  • Customer Service Focused: Gives information to students regarding the weekly Activities & Events calendar, manages student queries and complaints, and ensures that information is clearly displayed and regularly updated
  • Responsible for overseeing health & safety of students during organised activities, including carrying out regular risk assessments for all events and ensuring all accompanying staff are given copies, and everything is run in accordance with safeguarding requirements
  • Seeks feedback from students, and uses it to improve the quality of experiences
  • Promotes upcoming events and drives sales strategies and initiatives to increase student sign ups for key activities, including use of the school's social media
  • Assist with monitoring and ordering of resources
  • Assists with scheduling and organisation of Activity Leaders
  • Shares emergency on call duties with other school staff on a rota basis
  • When required, may occasionally lead activities & excursions, including evening & weekend work

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and hard-working
  • Administration skills - previous experience working in an office environment is highly regarded
  • Customer service minded and quality oriented - previous experience in a customer service role is a plus
  • Organised, with high attention to detail
  • Creative and resourceful, with an ideas mindset
  • Enjoys working under pressure & able to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Team player who is happy to collaborate and support others within their immediate team, and the wider school team
  • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment
