Gilmerton Care Home

Gilmerton Care Home, located in the peaceful south of Edinburgh, offers exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care. Our home provides a warm, family-like environment with modern, comfortable living spaces, engaging activities, and personalised care plans. Activities Lead Contract

  • £13.52 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Day shifts available
  • Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

  • You will take ownership of planning and delivering a varied activities programme tailored around residents’ interests, abilities and personal preferences.
  • From organising celebrations, themed events and community outings to creating meaningful one to one engagement, your role will help create a vibrant and positive environment throughout the home.

This opportunity is suited to someone with previous experience leading activities who brings creativity, confidence and genuine passion for enhancing quality of life. You will have the freedom to bring new ideas, create memorable experiences and make a lasting difference to residents every single day.

  • Previous experience leading activities within a care home, healthcare or similar environment is essential
  • Creativity, confidence and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships and encourage participation
  • Experience planning engaging activities, events and outings
  • Genuine passion for improving wellbeing and quality of life
