About the Role
Are you friendly, creative and compassionate? Are you keen to make a difference and contribute to the impact BCWA makes?
We’re looking for a welcoming and friendly face to help with the delivery of activities for clients in BCWA services, keeping them engaged, involved and included. If you have strong interpersonal skills, you’re a confident communicator who wants to help survivors, or you’re a reliable and honest volunteer with a special skill to share, we’d love to have you on board as an Activities Volunteer!
Activities Volunteers will primarily volunteer within the BCWA Accommodation Services. Volunteers will support with the facilitation of different activities, including arts and crafts, coffee mornings, cooking, games and other activity sessions. We have an ever-growing programme of activities across our services. Client activities at BCWA help ensure we keep connected with the people we support, and provide moments for them to build relationships, reflect on key events and awareness days, and be creative and gain skills. Activities volunteers strengthen the positive impact these activities have for the clients BCWA supports, providing further connection and space for engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
