Part-Time | Term Time Only | Permanent

£13.65 per hour, increasing to £14.05 per hour following successful completion of a 6-month probation period | 14 hours per week | Paid year-round (annualised hours)

Robinwood Activity Centre is looking for an Activity Centre Assistant (Evening) to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at Barhaugh Hall Activity Centre, working Tuesdays and Wednesdays (2:00pm – 10.30pm) during term time only.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an award-winning organisation delivering residential outdoor activity experiences to primary school children.

This Role Involves

About the role of an Activity Centre Assistant:

  • Providing support for groups of children between activity sessions. This may include helping with harnesses, buoyancy aid and helmet fitting, provision of waterproofs and other equipment, or other supervisory tasks.
  • Providing support on activity sessions such as assisting with Zip Wire, Archery, Giant Swing or water sports support. (No previous experience required, all training is given)
  • Mealtime supervision of groups of children
  • Assisting with morning or evening supervision of children, reminding children of routines and liaising with other staff, recording information where appropriate.
  • Supporting the catering team with food preparation and kitchen cleaning tasks, serving children and clearing up.
  • Cleaning around the centre, maintaining high standards of presentation throughout every aspect of the centre

Some previous work with children is useful, as well as excellent customer care skills and the ability to be positive, professional and supportive of others at all times. We take safeguarding very seriously and the successful applicants will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
