Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About The Role

At Coniston House Care Home, we are looking for a passionate, creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team and help make every day meaningful, engaging and enjoyable for our residents.

As a specialist dementia care home, we believe that activities should be person-centred, purposeful and tailored to each individual. We want someone who takes the time to get to know our residents — their interests, hobbies, memories and personalities — and uses this knowledge to create activities and experiences that they will genuinely enjoy.

We are looking for an organised individual with lots of ideas, enthusiasm and a real passion for working with older people living with dementia. You will play an important role in creating and delivering a varied programme of activities, from arts and crafts, music and reminiscence sessions to games, entertainment, gardening, outings and seasonal celebrations.

We are looking for someone who can manage their own time effectively and work independently, ensuring that activity programmes, events and planners are prepared well in advance. Good organisation is essential, as you will be responsible for planning a varied schedule of meaningful activities and ensuring the necessary resources and arrangements are in place.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Is passionate about supporting people living with dementia
  • Is warm, friendly, patient and approachable
  • Has a creative personality and lots of new and exciting ideas
  • Is well organised and able to manage their own workload and time effectively
  • Can plan and prepare activity programmes and planners in advance
  • Has good attention to detail and can ensure activities are properly organised
  • Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Is confident using a computer to create activity planners, documents, schedules and other resources
  • Takes a person-centred approach and recognises that every resident is an individual
  • Can adapt activities to suit different abilities, interests and needs
  • Is confident encouraging residents to participate while always respecting their choices
  • Enjoys working as part of a caring and supportive team
  • Is enthusiastic about creating meaningful moments and positive experiences for our residents

Most importantly, we want someone who can think creatively and is not afraid to try new things. Whether it is bringing an old hobby back to life, creating a special celebration, encouraging residents to get involved in the local community or simply finding a new way to brighten someone's day, your ideas can make a real difference.

About The Company

A driving license is preferred but not essential.

We are a family-run business providing quality residential care homes and support services to older people and those living with dementia. We built our first residential care home in the early 1980s when we noticed that many care homes were set up in old converted buildings that didn’t always lend themselves to meeting the wide-ranging needs of those with age-related difficulties or dementia. We built the home brick by brick to create first-rate, safe and homely accommodation in a community setting. Since those early days, we have grown our business in order to meet the need for first-class, quality care and support for our ageing population. We now have four residential care homes for older people, Pendle Brook, Coniston House, Royley House and Bank Hall. We specialise in catering for the needs of those with dementia as well as offering a fantastic daycare service, flexible respite care facilities and a home care service providing support to people living independently in their own homes.

Company Culture

Exceptional care homes don’t stay special on their own. Our dedicated teams make sure every one of the people in our care has a great experience, every time. Our success relies on the professionalism, commitment and caring nature of each and every team member and we’re always looking for similar-minded people to join us. We welcome applications from qualified and experienced professionals, as well as from those who are just starting out. We’re keen to open up new routes into jobs in the care sector, that’s why we’re continually growing the number and range of training opportunities we offer, helping individuals earn while they learn and contribute to the excellent care we provide. Do great things for us and we’ll do great things for you and your career. Rochcare is an encouraging and supportive company, we provide a comprehensive induction and training programme for both those with experience and those who are just starting out.
