Overview
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to engage with underwriting and claims teams, as well as other support functions such as products, software development, and finance.
- It’s a great opportunity to build a strong understanding of how the business connects, and to develop your commercial awareness alongside your actuarial skillset.
- Carry out quantitative analysis using both probabilistic and deterministic approaches, helping to break down complex problems and suggest practical solutions.
- Support the development and ongoing improvement of pricing tools, helping to ensure they remain accurate, relevant and fit for purpose.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to understand data requirements and translate these into clear, usable outputs.
- Produce regular and ad hoc reporting, with clear commentary that explains what the numbers are telling them and why it matters.
- Contribute to wider team activity, supporting projects and analysis alongside other members of the Performance Management team.

Qualifications Required
- A degree in a numerate subject such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
- Currently studying towards actuarial exams, ideally with a minimum of 1–3 exams passed or relevant exemptions.

Experience Required
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with data and draw clear conclusions.
- Comfortable using Excel or similar tools to handle and interpret data.
- Good attention to detail, with a structured and methodical approach.
- Clear communicator, able to explain findings in a straightforward and practical way.
- Curious and motivated, with an interest in how actuarial work supports business performance.
