You will be naturally curious about technology and see automation and AI as opportunities to improve the actuarial function.
You will be entering a small, exciting, and ambitious actuarial team within a rapidly expanding life reinsurance company. They will cover a broad range of responsibilities and will be exposed to the entire operations of a Bermuda-based life-reinsurer. Whilst the main function will be to support the valuation and management of the Company's life and annuity portfolios, there will be requirements across the whole actuarial function, including cross-function initiatives and business development.

The fundamentals of this role are the development and maintenance of the valuation processes used to produce the EBS and USGAAP balance sheets through actuarial modelling, automation, and process improvement. There is an additional expectation to bring a builder mindset, challenge existing processes, identify opportunities to simplify and automate workflows, and leverage modern technologies, including AI, to improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of the actuarial function.

Profile:
- 1-3 years’ experience – mid-stage exams
- Ideally modelling skills in either R or Python
Other:

- Days in office: min 1-2 (central London)
- Dynamic and ambitious Pensions actuaries will be considered
- The role may provide opportunities to travel to Bermuda occasionally
