Actuarial Analyst: Nordic and Baltic

Join Aon’s Nordic and Baltic reinsurance team and help us revolutionise our industry!

This role will be based in our office in London, but travel to our other offices and clients may be required at times. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office, aligning with the in-country smart working policy.

What The Day Will Look Like

In this role, your focus will be on helping our clients to identify and quantify the risks they are exposed to and advising them on the optimal reinsurance strategy to mitigate these risks.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

  • Working with a dynamic team of actuaries, brokers, and cat modellers to brainstorm and develop solutions to our clients’ problems.
  • Analysing and pricing various alternative reinsurance structures to find the best fit with the client’s risk appetite.
  • Communicating your findings and recommendations to both the internal team and to the client to get their feedback.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Highly numerate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in (re)insurance pricing, reserving, or capital modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and manipulation. Expert user in Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas simply.
  • Critical thinking – problem diagnosis and problem solving.
  • Creative, innovative, and logical thinking, and excellent attention to detail.
