With plenty of support around you, you’ll experience how your future career might look and help us make a difference to our customers at a time when they need us the most.
Our summer internships
Our summer internships are ideal for undergraduate students. As well as gaining some great experience, successful completion of your internship in 2026 could lead to you being offered a place on one of our graduate programmes starting in 2027.
What can I look forward to?
The 10-week paid Actuarial Internship is designed to provide a taster of what an actuarial career at Zurich looks like. You will be working in an actuarial role from day one, gaining experience working alongside a team of actuaries and learning some of the foundation skills required to succeed in the profession.
The internship provides a great opportunity for you to explore whether an actuarial career, and Zurich, is suited to you while giving the Zurich life actuarial team the chance to get to know you. Your internship could involve working in reserving, pricing, reinsurance, or another core actuarial area. Whichever area your internship is in, you'll have the chance to start learning what an actuary does.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
