Actuarial Valuation Manager | New Business and Transformation

A leading global life reinsurer is seeking a qualified actuary to join its newly established global Valuation team in a broad and influential management role.

This is not a traditional reporting focused valuation position. The successful candidate will lead key aspects of new business modelling and treaty implementation, manage a team and help determine how new business is embedded across the organisation. They will also play an important role in improving controls, modernising processes and shaping future actuarial model development.

It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical actuarial work with people leadership, stakeholder management and genuine business transformation.

The Role

The Actuarial Valuation Manager will:

  • Lead and develop a sub team within the global New Business Valuation function
  • Manage the implementation of new treaties across multiple products, regions and lines of business
  • Take a leading role in addressing a backlog of historical treaty implementations
  • Build effective relationships with Pricing, Operations, Corporate Actuarial and front office teams
  • Improve the processes, controls and governance surrounding new business implementation
  • Help embed deliverables from a major actuarial transformation programme
  • Specify model requirements and coordinate the testing of future model developments
  • Support the continued development of global assumptions management and implementation frameworks
  • Coordinate activity across multiple locations and time zones while helping to build a positive, high performing team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
