We are working with a leading specialty insurer looking to hire a Qualified Actuary, covering Reserving, Capital and Pricing. This is a genuinely hands-on position, suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail, taking ownership and working closely with the wider business.
The Role
- Undertake quarterly reserving analysis, including A/E analysis and reserve adequacy.
- Support capital modelling, capital setting, business planning and reinsurance analysis.
- Provide pricing support, including case pricing and technical pricing models.
- Produce actuarial analysis and reporting for management and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to Solvency II Technical Provisions and wider business planning.
- Work closely with Underwriting, Risk, Finance and Analytics.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and actuarial analysis.

About You
- Qualified Actuary with relevant General Insurance experience.
- Experience across Capital, Reserving and/or Pricing.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to work hands-on with data and actuarial models.
- Comfortable getting into the detail and taking ownership of your work.
- A genuine passion for change, innovation and continuous improvement, with an appetite to challenge existing processes and find better ways of working.
- Experience with coding, data tools, automation or actuarial modelling software would be advantageous.
