The Nanny & Maternity Agency is recruiting experienced, reliable nannies and babysitters to join our ad hoc childcare register across London and surrounding areas.
We regularly receive bookings for babysitting, temporary nanny care, short-notice cover and emergency childcare. This role would suit childcare professionals looking for flexible additional work alongside other commitments.
Once successfully registered with our agency, you will be invited to join our WhatsApp Community, where available ad hoc nanny and babysitting opportunities are shared. You can then express interest in the bookings that suit your availability.
Bookings may include daytime nanny care, evening babysitting, weekend work, school holiday cover, emergency childcare and last-minute requests.
Requirements
To join our ad hoc register, you must have:
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
- At least two recent childcare references
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Previous professional childcare experience
- A reliable, professional and flexible approach

Experience with a range of ages, including babies and young children, is highly desirable.
Hours
Hours are flexible and vary depending on individual bookings. There are no guaranteed weekly hours, and candidates are free to accept or decline opportunities based on their availability.
We receive both advance bookings and short-notice or emergency childcare requests.
Location
Roles are available across London and surrounding areas. Candidates should be comfortable travelling to different family homes depending on the booking.
Pay
Hourly rates vary depending on the individual booking, location, hours, experience required and level of notice. Full pay details will be provided before you decide whether to accept a booking.
