Monetization Manager - Digital Advertising & Ad Tech - Up to £60K + Bonus
The Company
Our client is a growing digital media and technology business operating across large-scale consumer platforms.
They use advertising technology, data and audience insights to monetize digital inventory across mobile and online environments, working with a broad range of programmatic demand and technology partners.
The business is continuing to invest in its advertising proposition and is looking to strengthen its monetization team as it scales.
The Job
- Monitor advertising revenue and monetization performance on a daily basis, identifying changes, trends and opportunities across the business.
- Analyse metrics including revenue, CPM/eCPM, fill rate, inventory performance and partner contribution to understand what is driving performance.
- Investigate unexpected movements in the data, identifying root causes and recommending actions to improve revenue and efficiency.
- Support the optimization of programmatic demand, pricing, inventory and advertising configurations across digital and mobile environments.
- Work across ad-serving and monetization platforms, supporting areas such as ad-unit configuration, partner setup, bidding and campaign troubleshooting.
- Analyse the performance of SSPs and other advertising partners, helping the business understand where additional revenue opportunities exist.
- Build and improve dashboards and reporting that give the wider business clear visibility of monetization performance.
- Support testing and experimentation across areas such as pricing, inventory, demand partners and advertising formats.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial and Operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve advertising performance.
- Turn complex data into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute ideas around new tools, processes and monetization opportunities as the advertising operation continues to develop.

You
- Around 3+ years of experience within programmatic advertising, yield, monetization, Ad Operations, advertising analytics or a closely related area
- Experience within a publisher, app business, gaming company, media owner or sell-side AdTech environment
- Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in understanding what drives advertising revenue
- Experience analysing metrics such as revenue, CPM/eCPM, fill rate, inventory performance or demand-partner performance
- Good understanding of programmatic advertising, SSPs and the wider advertising technology ecosystem
- Experience with Google Ad Manager or a comparable ad-serving platform
- Exposure to mobile or in-app advertising would be beneficial
- Experience with monetization, mediation or bidding platforms would be advantageous but is not essential
- Comfortable using tools such as Excel, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, SQL or similar reporting and analytical platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate performance issues and identify the underlying cause
- Confident working with Product, Engineering, Commercial and Operations stakeholders
- A proactive, curious and hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where responsibilities can evolve as the business grows
