About the Role
Based in Charing Cross Road, OMD EMEA are currently recruiting for a talented Ad Operations Manager to work on a major global technology client.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Ad Operations specialist looking to take greater ownership of campaign operations, technical delivery and team management within a large international account.
The Ad Operations team is responsible for turning media plans into accurately executed advertising campaigns, managing trafficking, tagging, tracking, measurement and reporting requirements across a range of digital channels and markets.
As Ad Operations Manager, you will lead the operational delivery of campaigns, ensuring work produced by the team is accurate, timely and meets both client and agency objectives. You will act as a technical point of contact for the wider account, manage and develop junior team members, and help evolve processes and ways of working across Ad Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of digital campaigns across Display, Programmatic, Pre-roll, TVO/VOD and other online channels, ensuring campaigns are set up accurately and delivered against client and agency requirements.
- Oversee trafficking, tagging, measurement and tracking requirements, including translating media plans into the ad server, creative assignments, landing URLs and analytics tracking.
- Develop and implement tools that leverage AI and automation to streamline Ad Operations processes, driving greater efficiency, scalability and quality standards across campaign delivery.
- Manage the creation and implementation of campaign taxonomy and tracking URLs, ensuring consistency and accuracy across activity.
- Oversee the distribution of creative and ad tags to media partners and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with ad verification and Brand Safety partners to ensure appropriate measurement and brand safety requirements are implemented.
- Take ownership of data integrity across digital activity, ensuring campaign setups, tracking and reporting inputs are accurate and consistent.
- Lead QA and testing processes across the team, troubleshooting campaign and technical issues when required.
- Manage and develop junior members of the Ad Operations team, delegating work effectively, providing guidance and ensuring the quality of their output.
- Act as a technical point of contact for client service, planning and activation teams, explaining complex Ad Operations concepts clearly and providing solutions to technical challenges.
- Build strong relationships with clients, internal teams and local activation teams across multiple markets.
- Support the overall campaign management process, ensuring operational requirements enable campaigns to deliver against client objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate Ad Operations processes, recommending new approaches that improve accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
- Stay up to date with developments across Ad Operations, measurement, ad serving and verification, and recommend how new capabilities and techniques can be incorporated into the team's work.
- Maintain high standards across all team deliverables and proactively identify and resolve potential operational risks.

About You
- At least 3 years' experience in a relevant digital or Ad Operations role, with strong knowledge of trafficking, tagging, tracking and campaign measurement.
- Experience managing the execution of digital campaigns across Display, Programmatic, Video/TVO/VOD and other online channels.
- Strong technical understanding of ad serving, measurement, reporting and campaign troubleshooting.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to QA both your own work and the work of junior team members.
- Comfortable using Excel and working with large and complex datasets.
- Good knowledge of ad verification and Brand Safety tools and their role within digital campaign delivery.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Confident managing a variety of stakeholders, including clients, planning teams and local activation teams across different markets.
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable delegating work, providing feedback and supporting the development of junior team members.
- A proactive and curious learner who keeps up to date with developments in Ad Operations and looks for opportunities to improve existing processes.
- A collaborative team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment and responding quickly to changing priorities.

Desired but not essential
- Previous experience working within a media agency on a large international brand or account.
- Previous people management or line management experience.
