The future of driving is being written right now.

At Aston Martin, we're developing the next generation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Autonomous Driving technologies, delivering intelligent features that enhance safety, elevate the customer experience and support the future of luxury performance motoring.

We're looking for an ADAS & AD Feature Engineer to play a key role in bringing those features to life.

This is an exciting opportunity to become the technical owner of ADAS and Autonomous Driving features within future Aston Martin vehicle programmes. You'll sit at the centre of feature development, defining requirements, setting targets, coordinating delivery and ensuring the end customer experiences technology exactly as intended.

You'll be the person connecting feature vision with real-world delivery. Working closely with software engineers, systems teams, attribute leaders, suppliers and technology partners, you'll ensure feature requirements are clearly defined, understood and implemented. While dedicated software, calibration and validation teams will support delivery, you'll provide the technical leadership needed to ensure every feature achieves its performance targets, meets programme timing and delivers the quality expected of an Aston Martin.

This role would suit someone who enjoys owning a feature from concept through to production. Someone who is naturally curious, passionate about emerging vehicle technologies and motivated by solving complex technical challenges. Whether you're defining feature requirements, supporting software implementation, establishing performance KPIs or driving issue resolution, you'll have a direct influence on the future direction of Aston Martin's ADAS capability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

To be successful in this role, you'll already have experience within automotive product development and a strong understanding of ADAS technologies and feature delivery. You'll be comfortable working with requirements management tools such as Polarion or DOORS and have a solid understanding of automotive systems engineering principles, including Functional Safety and DFMEA methodologies. Experience with Vector toolsets, delivery planning and supplier management will also be essential.

You'll thrive in an environment where collaboration is key. This role requires someone who can influence others without direct authority, build strong relationships across multiple engineering disciplines and confidently drive progress through a complex stakeholder landscape. You'll need to be comfortable challenging where necessary, holding teams accountable to deadlines and maintaining focus on delivery in a fast-moving programme environment.

Experience delivering ADAS systems, supporting calibration and validation activities or working with simulation environments such as CarMaker, SCANeR or MATLAB would be highly advantageous, although not essential. A degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline is required.
