Part-Time Addiction Therapist – 4 days per week
South Kensington, London
£31,500 per annum
Permanent position
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a specialist secondary addiction treatment service in South Kensington who are seeking an experienced Addiction Therapist to join their established therapy team.
The service supports clients who have completed a 28-day primary treatment programme and are progressing through a structured three-month programme focused on stabilisation, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
Working across both residential and day programmes, the successful therapist will provide structured individual and group therapy to clients presenting with a broad range of addictive behaviours.
This is a therapy-led, non-medical service, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced addiction therapist who has a strong understanding of the field, and is confident delivering structured and consistent group work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured group therapy across the residential and day programme, maintaining a consistent and purposeful therapeutic approach.
- Provide one-to-one therapeutic sessions within the established treatment framework.
- Support clients presenting with complex addictive behaviours, including alcohol, drugs, sex addiction, chemsex, and online gaming.
- Work therapeutically with clients who may also present with dual diagnoses.
- Manage and support clients throughout their three-month secondary treatment journey, helping them consolidate progress made during primary treatment.
- Develop clients’ skills around longer-term recovery, relapse prevention, and reintegration.
- Work closely with the wider team of therapists, recovery assistants, and Clinical Director.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
