The role
You'll take clinical ownership of adult ADHD medication titration — initiating treatment, optimising doses, monitoring safety and moving stable patients into shared care with their GP. You'll work autonomously within our formulary and SOPs.
What you'll do
- Initiate and titrate ADHD medication for adults
- Carry out remote medication reviews, dose optimisation and treatment-response monitoring
- Recognise and manage side effects, comorbidity, and risk; escalate appropriately
- Prepare and hand over patients to GP shared care, including clear shared-care agreements and correspondence
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and letters in Mentalwell Connect
- Take part in clinical supervision, MDT discussion, audit and learning
- Contribute to improving our clinical pathways and the platform itself — we act on clinician feedback

About you
Essential
- Registered nurse (NMC) or pharmacist (GPhC) with a current, unrestricted registration
- Independent prescriber qualification and annotation (V300 or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience prescribing ADHD medication in adults, including controlled drugs
- Sound working knowledge of NICE NG87, ADHD pharmacology and physical health monitoring
- Confident practising autonomously within a defined scope, and clear about when to escalate
- Comfortable with remote consultation and digital clinical systems
- Excellent written communication — you'll be writing letters GPs and patients actually rely on

Desirable
- Experience in an NHS Right to Choose or independent-sector ADHD service
- Familiarity with GP shared-care protocols and their local variation across ICBs
- Experience with EPS / smart card prescribing and FP10s
- Experience of comorbid presentations (anxiety, depression, autism, substance use)
- Involvement in clinical audit, supervision or service development
