Adjudications Manager

Location: Central London (Hybrid)

Contract: Permanent | 4 days per week

Salary: £60,000 (£48,000 pro rata)

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Adjudications Manager to oversee disciplinary and appeal hearings within a professional regulatory environment, ensuring proceedings are fair, compliant and efficiently delivered.

The Role

Reporting to the Registrar and Director of Legal Services, you will manage disciplinary and appeal hearings, maintain compliance with legal and procedural requirements, and support the ongoing development of the hearings function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage disciplinary and appeal hearings.
  • Coordinate hearing documentation, notices and records.
  • Ensure hearings are conducted fairly and within required timescales.
  • Build effective relationships with committee members and stakeholders.
  • Review and improve processes, policies and procedures.
  • Monitor regulatory risks and information governance.
  • Recruit, train and support committee members and advisers.
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership and committees.
  • Line manage the Clerk to the Disciplinary Committees.

About You

Essential

  • Experience managing hearings, tribunals or adjudication processes.
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive matters.
  • Previous line management experience.
  • Proficiency with document management systems and virtual hearing platforms.

Desirable

  • Legal qualification.
  • Experience within a regulatory, disciplinary or fitness-to-practise environment.
  • Knowledge of investigations, disciplinary proceedings, or appeals.
