If so, Randstad Education wants to hear from you. We are currently recruiting a highly organised and adaptable Admin and Operations Assistant to join a dedicated support team within an outstanding specialist school in Leeds.
About the School
They are an outstanding Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) dedicated to providing exemplary education and care for pupils with a wide spectrum of special educational needs (SEN). Supported by modern facilities, therapeutic support teams, and a collaborative working environment, they pride themselves on maintaining a well-structured, safe, and efficient school operations network where staff well-being and pupil success are at the heart of everything they do.
About the Role
This is a full-time, ongoing long-term cover role (37 hours per week, term-time plus training days) starting ASAP for the full academic year, with the potential to transition into a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Working as part of the wider administration and operations team, key duties include:
- Providing high-quality administrative and operational support across the school.
- Maintaining school databases, digital systems, compliance information, and records.
- Supporting GDPR compliance and data protection processes.
- Coordinating IT equipment, asset management records, and general inventory.
- Dealing professionally with internal and external queries from staff, parents, and local authorities.
- Taking lead responsibility as the Exams Officer, including coordinating internal and external examinations, maintaining JCQ compliance, managing exam entries, timetables, invigilators, documentation, and results processes.
Skills Required
- Proven experience in school administration, operations, or as an Exams Officer (highly desirable).
- Strong IT literacy with practical confidence using databases, management information systems (e.g., SIMS/Arbor), and spreadsheets.
- Thorough knowledge of examination processes, JCQ regulations, and data compliance (GDPR).
- Exceptional organisational skills, high accuracy, and the ability to prioritise competing workloads under pressure.
- A calm, professional, and adaptable communication style.

Essential Requirements
- Prior experience in an administrative or operational role within a UK education setting or complex organisational environment.
- An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad).
- Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
