Lancaster University’s award-winning Confucius Institute (LUCI) is recruiting an enthusiastic Admin Assistant to provide vital administration, events and media work for Chinese teaching, research and engagement activities.

Working within a small team, the role is varied and will work closely with a wide range of colleagues in the Confucius Institute, the School of Global Affairs, the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and across the University, as well as with students and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an administrative role with an emphasis on cross-cultural communications. They should have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work on their own initiative and to prioritise tasks. The person must be willing to work flexibly as the role will require occasional weekend or evening work.

This is part-time (0.4FTE), fixed term role to 31 July 2027.
