About the Role
Country & Town House is looking for an Admin Assistant to join our growing digital editorial team. Our tagline is ‘a life in balance’ and sustainability and championing homegrown talent is at the heart of everything we do. If you want to be part of this aspirational lifestyle brand and join a growing, independently-run publishing business – we want to hear from you.
This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone at the start of their career in digital media who is organised, proactive, and keen to learn. Reporting into the digital editor, you’ll provide hands-on support across our online competitions, website content, and day-to-day editorial admin, helping the team run smoothly and giving you a genuine grounding in how a digital publishing operation works.
The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with a keen eye for detail, comfortable juggling several small tasks at once, and happy to pitch in wherever needed, including supporting the team at events.
Here’s what a few team members recently said about working at C&TH.
"C & TH is a fun and innovative place to work at. It is fast-paced and stretching but at the same time it’s very rewarding to see the great products we produce. It has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, where everyone’s opinion counts and you feel valued as a member of the team."
"C&TH is a company that gives you free rein to pitch new ideas and actually act on them, giving everyone a chance to shape the company they work for."

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
