Belmont is a happy, inclusive and nurturing school with a fantastic community and a friendly, highly motivated staff team.
We are looking for an organised and digitally confident Admin Assistant / Receptionist to join our close-knit office team.
This is not a quiet desk job!
Our school office is a busy, dynamic place where no two days are the same. One minute you may be helping a parent at reception, the next updating information on our Management Information System, responding to an email, handling an attendance query or supporting a member of staff.
You’ll need to be someone who enjoys variety, can manage frequent interruptions and is brilliant at keeping several plates spinning at once, without losing sight of the detail or the person standing in front of you.
Strong IT and digital skills are essential. We are continually developing our digital systems and processes, so we are particularly keen to meet someone who is confident with technology, learns new systems quickly and looks for smarter and more efficient ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
