The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Administrative Team within Theatres, Anaesthetics and Critical Care. This is a busy and dynamic department operating within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Charge Nurse teams within Critical Care and Theatres, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the service. We are seeking a motivated and organised individual who can prioritise their workload effectively, work independently when required, and contribute positively as part of a wider team.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- Permanent, Part-time - 30 hours per week
- Shift pattern - Monday to Friday
- Base location - North Sector based, Glasgow Royal Infirmary
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Senior Charge Nurse teams.
- Assist with a range of day-to-day administrative duties.
- Support the smooth and efficient running of the service.
- Maintain accurate electronic filing systems.
- Update and maintain employee records using electronic systems.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effectively prioritise workloads within a busy environment.

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications, and/or Experience Required to Do the Job
Essential
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Audio typing experience.
- Experience of SSTS (Payroll Management System).
- Experience of eESS (Electronic Employee Support System) for updating employee records.
- Experience maintaining electronic filing systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.
- Experience using Electronic Patient Information Systems, such as Clinical Portal, TrakCare and CareVue.
- Experience using HR Portal.
- Experience using OPERA.
