What is the job role?
Based within Internally Provided Services, Adult Social Care, we are a team that provides administrative support to colleagues at all levels for various city wide care settings.
The role would cover a range of administration and leadership duties including:
- Administrative support to help run the various Provider Services Units across the city
- Dealing and resolving complex queries over the phone, via email or face to face
- Working with various Council ICT systems
- Inputting of data for reporting purposes
- Maintaining computerised and manual filing systems
- Retrieving and analysing information as requested
- Ensuring that information is kept up to date
- Handling monies
- Note-taking
- Providing team management support including performance management, supervision and development of admin staff who are located city wide in each Provider Services Unit

The post is for 35 hours worked over 5 days (Mondays to Fridays)
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
Who are we looking for?

- Strong organisational and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to a diverse range of situations and work on a city wide basis throughout the week
- Confidence working with a wide variety of people
- Ability to show sensitivity and empathy when dealing with individuals with complex needs
- Ability to manage your own workload, multi-task and juggle different priorities when things get busy

Please note the salary advertised will be pro-rata to hours worked (35 hours per week).
