Administration / Booking Administrator (Radiology)
Ashtead Hospital - Surrey 37.5 hours per week
Summary:
Ashtead Hospital is one of Surrey's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for self pay/insured and NHS patients. Conveniently situated close to Leatherhead (Junction 9 of the M25), the hospital is located in tranquil, wooded surroundings. These provide a peaceful environment to aid a speedy recovery.
By investing in advanced medical technology, the private hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services including: full diagnostic and endoscopy procedures, orthopaedic surgery including spinal treatment and pain management, general surgery including spinal vein removal and hernia surgery, ophthalmology including eye laser surgery, gynaecology, urology and ear, nose and throat treatments.
The role:
We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated customer focused reception/bookings administrator required to join our busy and friendly team.
This is a fast paced position that requires multi-tasking so you will have proven experience in strong administration skills and have proven ability to organise, adapt and priorities whilst working under pressure. Experience within a healthcare environment will also be an advantage. You will be expected to deliver a first class service to our patients, and support to your colleagues in other areas during busy periods. Excellent communication skills at all levels, keyboard skills, attention to detail and a good sense of humour are therefore essential for this post. You should be flexible and able to work additional hours to assist the department in holiday and busy periods.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with patients by phone, email & letter
- Booking appointments
- Liaising with consultants and their secretaries
- Ensuring timely completion of appointments onto the system
- Preparation of clinics
- Reception duties
What you will bring with you:
- Excellent organisational skills
- An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel
- Healthcare administration experience (advantage)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel
- The ability to work within a team
- The ability to time-manage
- Experience using a Patient Administration System (PAS) an advantage
