Our Healthcare team is a vibrant specialist department. We provide advice on all aspects of healthcare law, including clinical negligence, patient safety, consent to treatment, human rights, child law, and mental health.
The ethos of the team is to work hard for our clients so that we secure the right outcome for them. In doing so, we improve our technical skills and enhance our ability to meet the clients’ needs as they evolve.
The healthcare sector is fast-moving and the challenge of working for our clients provides very interesting work. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to develop their own and our teams’ practices. We provide a supportive environment in which to work.

Role
As an Administration Assistant, you will be reporting to your Support Team Manager and you will play an integral role in the efficient running of the team. Jobs you will be asked to do will include:
- Opening new files including performing necessary checks and set up, etc.
- General file maintenance
- Carry out general administrative tasks
- Processing of incoming post via FlowMatrix, to include extraction of key dates
- Electronic Filing
- GDPR checking of medical records
- Comply with all data security procedures, at all times
- Closing files and archiving
- Keep all file information updated - associates / MI / key dates
- Adhere to the service levels within the team and ensure work is completed within these levels
- Liaise with the other support team members to effectively manage workload
- Be responsible for own training needs and keep up to date with all training opportunities
- Provide assistance in the billing process and other admin duties as and when necessary
- Resolve minor IT problems and have proficient knowledge of Microsoft and MatterSphere

As an Administration Assistant, you will also ensure you comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures, and consistently work in accordance with our values.
