About the Role
A great opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join our Real Estate department. We're looking for an experienced administrator to assist our secretarial team in providing support to our Real Estate, Planning, and Property Litigation teams based in Newcastle.
What will I be doing
- Providing administrative support to the Real Estate secretarial team, including document preparation, formatting, printing, scanning, copy typing and binding.
- Coordinating meetings, room bookings, diaries and appointments, and managing incoming and outgoing post and filing.
- Opening and closing of client matters and files, including liaising with clients to obtain required anti-money laundering documentation and completing sanction checks.
- Assisting with finance-related administration, including preparing TT and accounts forms and processing expenses claims for fee earners.
- Supporting Real Estate transactions by ordering property searches and preparing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax forms and Land Registry applications.
- Maintaining accurate filing systems, document registers, transaction trackers and legal databases, including the secure storage of deeds and documents.
- Providing general administrative and project support to fee earners and the wider secretarial team, including preparing reports, spreadsheets and presentations and assisting with ad hoc team initiatives.

You'll have
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and good all-round IT skills
- The ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, and manage your time effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- The ability to adapt your style, be proactive, and to work both individually and as a member of the team.
