  • Hybrid - A bank is currently recruiting a Japanese speaking Administration Assistant to join its Corporate Banking Department in London.

The Administration Assistant will provide front and middle office administrative support to the Corporate Banking Department, including loan-related documentation, internal reporting, compliance and KYC checks, and data gathering for lending business research and analysis.

The ideal candidate should have strong administrative and organisational skills, fluent Japanese, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to work accurately in a time-pressured team environment. (Ref: AJ47623 - Please include this when making any enquiries.)

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare loan execution documents and coordinate with relevant departments and customers
  • Input and maintain lending-related data for internal reporting
  • Prepare regular and internal reports
  • Monitor personnel changes at customer companies
  • Conduct regular compliance and KYC checks when required
  • Update policies and procedures and manage subscription renewals
  • Support data gathering for lending business research and analysis
  • Provide general administrative support including filing, record keeping, mailing, scheduling, and messaging

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working at a financial institution in Japan is desirable
  • Experience working in a team within a time-pressured environment is desirable
  • Financial, accounting, or similar qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Fluent Japanese and English is essential
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Strong attention to detail when inputting and checking information
  • Flexible communication style and ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
  • Strong teamwork and organisational skills

Conditions

  • Location: London
  • Working Style: hybrid (3 days in office)
  • Salary: £25 per hour, plus overtime
  • Job Type: Temporary (6 months contract), full-time
  • Working Hours: 8:45-16:45 from Monday to Friday
  • Start: ASAP
