Bhatia Best Solicitors is a well-established law firm based in the East Midlands, specialising in Criminal Defence, Family Law, Personal Injury, Public Law and Community Care.
We are looking for an organised, proactive and professional Administration Assistant to join our busy HR department and Finance Department and to support the Practice Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and communication skills who is looking to develop their skills. Previous administration experience required.
The Role
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Staff Administration – Maintain accurate records relating to holidays, sickness and attendance, ensuring information is kept up to date and confidential.
- Office & Stationery Management – Monitor stationery and office supplies, placing orders as required.
- Recruitment Support – Assist with the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews and supporting pre-employment administration.
- New Starter Inductions – Welcome and support new members of staff, helping to coordinate their induction and ensuring they have a smooth start within the practice.
- Training & Development Records – Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff training records and supporting the team to ensure mandatory training is completed within the required timescales.
- Reception Cover – Provide reception cover when required, helping to ensure a welcoming, professional and efficient service for clients and visitors.
- General Administration – Provide day-to-day administrative support, including filing, scanning, photocopying, maintaining records and other office-based tasks.
- Practice Manager Support – Work closely with the Practice Manager, providing support with a variety of ad hoc administrative projects and tasks as they arise.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Is confident communicating with staff and legal professionals
- Can manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment
- Is comfortable using IT systems and has good general administrative skills
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
- Has previous administration experience

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
Salary
£24,784.50 per annum
