Administrative Assistant Tithe Green Natural Burial

Tithe Green is a family-owned and run business, providing beautiful natural burial grounds across the North and Midlands. We’re driven by our love for nature, respect for people, and our passion for offering a meaningful, environmentally sustainable way of saying goodbye.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Oxton, Nottinghamshire (office based)

Job Type: Full time 9.30 – 5.30 Mon - Fri

Reports to: Head of Customer Relations

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our burial grounds.

This is a varied role that combines administration with customer service. You’ll be a key point of contact for families and support the existing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate funeral records and issue post-funeral documentation.
  • Produce customer invoices using Xero.
  • Provide a warm, professional first point of contact by phone, email and in person, supporting families through their enquiries through to booking.
  • Record customer interactions and maintain customer records using Hubspot.
  • Managing the memorial plaque process, including creating the proofs and layouts, placing orders, tracking delivery and coordination placement on site.
  • Assist with general office administration to support the wider team as required.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous administrative or customer service experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to work independently while also enjoying being part of a small team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with a willingness to support different aspects of the business.
  • A high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • A calm, compassionate and professional manner when supporting bereaved families.
  • Funeral industry experience is not necessarily required.
