Are you a dynamic and experienced Administrator with a passion for operational excellence in healthcare administration?

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Administration Lead to join our Care Group Leadership Team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

Role Overview

The Administration Lead will provide essential senior administrative support to their department(s) and provide key support to the Administration Manager with overseeing the day-to-day management of administrative and clerical functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical support to identified stakeholders
  • Be a core member of the administrative support team for the Service Triumvirate
  • Develop and implement policies
  • Handle staffing issues
  • Support various projects aimed at improving operational efficiency
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the department
  • Manage administrative staff
  • Meet key performance targets
  • Maintain the quality-of-service delivery

  • Dynamic and highly organised individual
  • Ability to manage complex and confidential information
  • Support governance processes
  • Foster effective communication between senior leaders, internal, and external stakeholders

Key Activities

  • Administer meetings
  • Support with management and oversight of ESRs
  • Recruitment for all disciplines within the department
  • Assist in managing ESRs and recruitment processes across various departmental leads and disciplines
  • Contribute to a smooth and efficient onboarding experience
  • Provide core administrative support, including the organisation of departmental meetings and forums
  • Ensure actions are tracked using digital tools for accountability and progress

Communication and Coordination

  • Act as a central point of contact for administrative matters
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Resolve issues promptly and maintain strong working relationships
  • Responsible for complex diary management and planning
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained
  • Support preparations for key departmental meetings
  • Ensure the department adheres to quality standards and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
