Administration Manager

Location: Cobalt Hospital – Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits

About the Role

As the Head of Department, you will lead and manage the service delivery of the administrative team who are committed to delivering the highest quality administrative outcomes in a supported environment. You will manage the following areas: reception, outpatient bookings, medical records, and the local teams' telephony functionality.

The role will involve engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including patients, clinical professionals, and Heads of Department and staff. Key objectives are to deliver a strong customer-focused service across all the areas of responsibility, plus contributing to the overall improvement of patient experience across the hospital. We ideally want someone who is committed to maximizing the opportunities to create a positive impact for our service users at every contact touchpoint, whether that be face-to-face, email, or telephone.

We are focused on utilizing analytical tools and technology to improve our service efficiency and customer access. To build on this, we are seeking someone with knowledge and skills that demonstrates how they have managed to use different techniques to improve services that maximize business opportunities.


What You’ll Bring with You

  • Management Experience and/or demonstrated ability to manage a team.
  • Effective communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Analytical confidence with some pre-existing knowledge of systems such as Power BI and MS365 Teams telephony.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate commercial and financial awareness.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office package).
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • The ability to make decisions and use your initiative.
