Administrative Officer
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent Band 3 administrator to join our developing team in North Cumbria as a Administrative Officer. This is a county-wide service and therefore the base is flexible which will be discussed at interview (Beacon Unit, Penrith, Brookside Centre, Wigton or Carleton Clinic Carlisle).
We are seeking someone who has an interest in supporting our expanding clinical team, the post holder will need to have experience of working in a similar environment and previous secretarial experience is essential due to the demands of the role.
This post could provide an ideal development opportunity for an existing Band 2 or 3 looking to develop further administrative skills working autonomously within an exciting and developing service. The post will provide training and development opportunities.
Full support will be provided by an experienced Pathway Coordinator/Administration Manager as well as the service leads.

The Post Holder Should Have
- Secretarial experience working within a team.
- Experience in a customer / patient focussed environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of the RiO system (not essential as full-training will be delivered).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Minute taking skills as attending MDT meetings, updating RiO and action plans is an essential task.
- Ability to be a self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team.
- Well organised and structured.
- The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role.
Desirable: A current driving licence and access to a car - Travel will be necessary for this role around other North Cumbria sites so the post holder must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the role.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to occasionally distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to ensure they participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.

A high level of organisation and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with extensive experience of the Microsoft suite and typing skills are required.
