Administrative Assistant

Compensation: £25,500 - £26,500 / year

Description

Reporting to the Office Manager you will be required to deal directly with work-based representatives, external enquiries and undertake all aspects of the administration function for the smooth running of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the smooth running of day-to-day business
  • Manage the membership via the database, proactively and in accordance with members notifications and subscriptions for ‘new, amend and end’, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Assist with the administration of the Group Insurance scheme for serving officers, retired officers and police staff.
  • Distribute information to all new recruits, transferees, and police staff. Review and follow up for returns.
  • Answering both email & telephone enquiries.
  • Providing administrative assistance to the full-time Board Principal Officers, including taking minutes at meetings as directed by the Office Manager when required and where practical.
  • Update and maintain the Branch website at the direction of the Office Manager
  • Housekeeping, hospitality, and reception duties in conjunction with the Office Manager.
  • In the Office Manager’s absence, deputising for the Office Manager when required
  • Any other relevant duties as directed by the Office Manager and/ or Branch Secretary
