Company Description

The ATML Choir CIC is a community-focused choir created to address loneliness and support mental health through music and togetherness. The organization welcomes people from all backgrounds, regardless of color, race, ethnicity, gender, or social class, and fosters a sense of belonging and inclusion. Through unique medleys that blend different songs and musical styles, the choir promotes cohesion and shared experiences for both audience members and singers. Whether participants are professional vocalists or casual “shower singers,” they are invited to join a supportive community united by the power of music. The ATML Choir CIC believes that raising voices together in harmony can help reduce isolation and make the world a more connected place.

Role Description

The Administrative Assistant role is a part-time hybrid position based in Manchester, with some tasks carried out from home and others on-site. This role is Voluntary and Unpaid, suitable for someone looking to build experience or give back to the community. This role involves providing day-to-day administrative support, including managing correspondence, organizing schedules, maintaining records, and supporting event and rehearsal coordination.

The Administrative Assistant will handle phone and email inquiries, assist with the preparation of documents and reports, and help ensure smooth communication between choir members, leadership, and external partners. The role also includes basic clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and updating contact lists, as well as supporting executive-level administrative needs as required. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient operation of the choir and help uphold its inclusive, community-centered mission.

Qualifications

  • Strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills to manage records, schedules, and general office tasks.
  • Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills to handle inquiries and maintain positive interactions with members and partners.
  • Experience with Executive Administrative Assistance to support leadership with meetings, documentation, and coordination.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and online collaboration tools).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a part-time setting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, attending in-person activities in Manchester as needed.
  • Interest in community work, mental health awareness, or music-based initiatives is highly beneficial.
  • Prior experience in a non-profit, community organization, or arts-related setting is
