SRC Northwest Ltd is a growing commercial roofing and renewable energy contractor delivering projects across the UK. We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our friendly office team in Appley Bridge on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping things organised, supporting a busy team and being involved in a wide variety of administrative tasks. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in helping our projects run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Updating and maintaining purchase order (PO) logs and project costing sheets
  • Creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Keeping project files and documentation organised and up to date
  • Arranging plant, equipment and skip hire for site projects
  • Preparing project handover packs upon completion
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers by telephone and email
  • Answering incoming office calls and directing enquiries
  • Assisting with general office administration including:
    • Accreditation renewals
    • Fleet administration
    • Hotel and travel bookings for site teams
    • Filing and document management
    • Other administrative support as required

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in an administrative or office support role (essential)
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Familiar with Xero, Microsoft Teams/Zoom and shared drives (preferred)
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Professional, reliable and friendly
  • Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred)

Experience within the construction, roofing or renewable energy sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location

This is an office-based role at our Appley Bridge office (WN6), so applicants must be able to commute reliably to this location.

Hours

  • Part-time (12-16 hours per week)
  • Working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate (for example, three mornings/afternoons per week or two full days)

Salary & Benefits

  • National Minimum Wage (hourly rate applicable to the successful candidate's age)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
