About the Role
AMG has over 50 years’ experience in logistics. You will be part of a hard-working team that ensures the smooth running of the warehouse. The administrative role will support our shipping co-ordination and stock control. Full training will be given.
Shipping Co-ordination
- Working with the Shipping Consolidator to co-ordinate the ‘goods in’ for the warehouse
- Dealing with phone/email queries and solving in a prompt/professional manner
- Booking deliveries with port authorities
- Arranging deliveries from imports via TPN or DPD
- Coordinating shipments
Stock Control
- Working with the Stock Controller to manage our inventory
- Updating databases
- Liaising with customers providing stock inventory
- Maintaining stock records
- Raising collection notes
- Booking stock in/out
- Creating weekly and monthly invoices

Location & Commitments
- Monday to Friday
- Hours 09:00–17:30, with an hour’s lunch break
- Based at our warehouse on North Weald Airfield
- Overtime is normal rate Monday to Saturday and double time on Sunday and Bank Holidays
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent IT skills, including proficient use of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access) for reporting, communication, document management and data entry
- Solid experience working with databases, particularly Microsoft Access
- Previous shipping and stock control experience would be an advantage, although full training will be given
- Attention to detail
- Good all-round communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
- A flexible attitude to work and hours, with a willingness to learn
- Own transport is essential due to the warehouse location

Salary / Benefits:
- From £28,000 per annum + overtime, based on experience and skills
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays
