We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative duties, working closely with and supporting the Accounts Manager.
This is an office-based role, with regular working days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Additional hours may be available during busy periods, depending on business requirements.
This role would be particularly suited to someone studying towards AAT qualifications or looking to develop a career in accounting and finance while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Accounts Manager with bookkeeping and administrative duties
- Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
- Preparing bank reconciliations and assisting with VAT returns
- Matching transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Requesting and chasing invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
- Managing emails, filing, data entry, and general office administration
- Handling supplier and customer queries
- Assisting with ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Professional and friendly communication skills

Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software
- Previous experience in an office environment
Training
Full training will be provided. We welcome applications from candidates with a willingness to learn and develop their bookkeeping and administrative skills.
