Milverton Primary School

Milverton Primary School is looking to appoint a part-time Administrative Assistant to work in our small, busy office. We need someone who has a friendly, organised and professional manner. Previous office experience is required, ideally within a school environment, however not essential as training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for parents and visitors and will also handle telephone enquiries in the morning; they will be specifically responsible for recording absences and processing school dinner orders each day.

They will be expected to provide general office support, so a flexible approach is needed. They must have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and the ability to deal sensitively and confidentially to a range of situations.

General administrative and good IT skills, along with accuracy and the ability to multi-task are essential. The office is a busy environment with changing demands, so the successful candidate will need to have the resilience and enthusiasm to adapt as needed. There will also be a range of general office duties involved, such as filing and photocopying.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
