Role Description
We’re recruiting for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our Sustainable Land Reuse team to support and help ensure our project activities run smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person with strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and confidence communicating with a range of people, as well as the ability to manage a variety of administrative tasks efficiently. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is also required.
The home-based role would suit someone who is interested in working for a not-for-profit organization that supports the construction industry to improve its performance, adopt better environmental practices, and contribute to sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling meetings and managing calendars, including CIRIA’s project steering group meetings typically attended by 10–15 participants.
- Coordinating meeting arrangements, including circulating information and papers to attendees in advance and completing follow-up administrative tasks after meetings.
- Communicating with project steering group members and other stakeholders to confirm attendance, request comments and feedback, and follow up on actions as required.
- Liaising with funding organizations regarding purchase orders, agreement forms, and other relevant documentation.
- Providing record-keeping support regarding income-generating activities.
- Regular online meetings to coordinate cross-team activities within CIRIA.
- Undertaking duties commensurate with the role.
