If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems and providing outstanding customer service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About The Role

As an Administrative Officer, you will be a key point of contact within our busy DC10 site, providing exceptional customer service to warehouse teams, contractors and visitors. This is a highly visible role where you'll build relationships, resolve queries and help create a positive experience for everyone who interacts with our Group Print & Operations Division.

You'll enjoy a varied role that combines customer service with a wide range of administrative responsibilities. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will support the smooth running of day-to-day operations while developing valuable skills in finance administration, site engagement and operational support.

In this role, you'll also:

  • Manage central stock items and help ensure key resources are always available.
  • Contribute to improving team procedures and ways of working through continuous improvement activities.

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

About You

You are a people-focused professional who enjoys providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Whether you're welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries or supporting colleagues across the business, you are confident communicating both face-to-face and through phone, email and virtual channels.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
