Job Title: Administrative Officer

Salary: £24,546.32 per annum (£15,779.77 pro-rata)

Location: Wrexham and Flintshire

Contract/Hours: Fixed Term Contract 31 March 2028, Part-time - 22.5 hours a week (to be worked between our core operational hours of Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00) – Monday and Tuesday are essential

About the role

As a Administrative Officer you'll be part of team of 6 people to provide high quality business support to a Cluster of our non-residential services across North Wales.

You will be providing an effective, efficient administrative service to meet the needs of the operational teams, ensuring the teams adhere to Action For Children’s policies and procedures, to enable the achievement of service objectives.

While there are opportunities to work from home you will be required to travel to offices based in Flintshire and Wrexham.

How you’ll help to create brighter futures

  • Administrative support to the management team; this will include diary management, arranging meetings and general admin tasks.
  • Financial Tasks; Managing, monitoring and recording Petty Cash, PCards, weekly reconciliation and raising POs.
  • Collating and updating records on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Data gathering and ability to present a variety of information in various formats to different stakeholders within a senior level.
  • Admin support including minute taking for both operational and HR meetings.
  • Part of a team that is the first point of contact for general enquiries.

Let's talk about you

Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum of Business Administration S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent relevant qualification or work experience
  • Experience of minute taking for steering groups
  • Demonstrable interest and experience of using computers through a business network running MS Windows and Office applications (excel is essential), email and the Internet.
  • Confident with figures and applying literacy skills, to communicate effectively with a range of individuals/teams.
  • Confident and effective with both written and verbal communication, including to prepare and present reports.
  • Ability to deliver task within agreed quality and timescales
