Hays are delighted to be recruiting for a leading public sector organisation seeking an Administration Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected organisation that delivers important services across Northern Ireland while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced administrative environment.

Your new role

As an Administration Officer- Grants, you will provide essential administrative and financial support within a busy team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and verifying claims
  • Reviewing supporting documentation
  • Carrying out financial checks
  • Preparing payments
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases
  • Responding to queries from stakeholders
  • Assisting with report preparation, correspondence, and general administrative duties
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures

This is a hybrid role, working 37 hours per week.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Experience within a finance, grants, or public sector environment would be advantageous
