Hays are delighted to be recruiting for a leading public sector organisation seeking an Administration Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected organisation that delivers important services across Northern Ireland while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced administrative environment.
Your new role
As an Administration Officer- Grants, you will provide essential administrative and financial support within a busy team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and verifying claims
- Reviewing supporting documentation
- Carrying out financial checks
- Preparing payments
- Maintaining accurate records and databases
- Responding to queries from stakeholders
- Assisting with report preparation, correspondence, and general administrative duties
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures

This is a hybrid role, working 37 hours per week.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
- Previous administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Experience within a finance, grants, or public sector environment would be advantageous
