The ATML Choir CIC is a unique and inclusive community choir created to help address loneliness and support mental well-being through music. The organization welcomes people from all backgrounds, regardless of colour, race, ethnicity, gender, or social class, and values a sense of belonging where everyone is respected. By using medleys—a blend of multiple songs into one cohesive sound—the choir promotes togetherness and shared expression. Whether individuals are experienced singers or complete beginners, they are encouraged to participate as part of a supportive audience or choir community. The ATML Choir CIC believes that raising voices together can ease isolation and contribute positively to mental health.
Role Description
We are a newly set up organisation on the look out for an Administrative Officer to help with our day to day Administration and organisational management. The role is voluntary and unpaid with out of pocket expenses reimbursed. The Administrative Officer role is a part-time hybrid position based in Manchester, with some responsibilities carried out from home.

The Administrative Officer will handle general office administration, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, and organizing files and documentation. The role involves coordinating rehearsal schedules, meetings, and events, as well as supporting membership processes and maintaining contact lists. The Administrative Officer will respond to inquiries from choir members and the public, provide customer service support, and assist in communicating updates via email or other channels. Additional tasks may include basic data entry, preparing simple reports, and supporting the leadership team with administrative assistance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

- Strong General Administration and Administrative Assistance skills to manage office tasks and support daily operations.
- Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with choir members, partners, and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Excellent Organization Skills to handle schedules, records, and documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and willingness to learn new digital tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment, with good time management and reliability.
- Experience in community, arts, or non-profit organizations is beneficial but not essential.
