We have an exciting opportunity within the Hampshire Transport Management Team, part of Hampshire County Council’s Highways Service.
The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to support a busy vehicle workshop environment by delivering high quality administrative, financial and customer service functions.
This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of high-quality fleet transport services across the county.

What you’ll do:
You’ll be at the centre of a busy Transport Workshop, helping to keep services running smoothly through excellent customer support, accurate administration, reliable financial processing and effective teamwork.
As a first point of contact for workshop enquiries, your role will involve:
- The ability to communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and suppliers and taking ownership of enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate records and data across different systems, ensuring compliance.
- Supporting financial processing, purchasing, invoicing and recharging activities to add value.
- Helping improve local processes so that the workshop can deliver an efficient, responsive and professional service.
- Working closely with colleagues across Hampshire Transport Management, building positive relationships and supporting team goals.

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a confident, organised and collaborative administrator who enjoys working as part of a busy support team and takes pride in providing a helpful, accurate and professional service.
You’ll be a clear communicator with a keen eye for detail, able to handle enquiries, update records, support routine financial processes and use IT systems confidently to keep information accurate and up to date.
A flexible and positive approach will be important, along with the ability to manage your own workload, support colleagues and respond effectively to the changing priorities of a workshop environment.
